I am a current student of occupational therapy assisting and found this episode to be of particular interest because of the difficulty there seems to be in our didactic curriculum and teaching "practical" lessons. I don't know how much of this is a factor of the program that I attend and whether it's a broader question in OT education. But from what I've seen, I think that the conceptual coursework would be greatly reinforced by targeted simulation of clinical situations before attending fieldwork. I wonder why some OT educators resist this type of education for their field, but it's so prevalent in nursing and first responder training.
Keep up the good work!

Thank you for the feedback and support! You bring up an interesting point, one that is ripe for investigation if anyone in the field is looking for a research question :)
