Jami Flick, MS, OTR/L, is an occupational therapist and an assistant professor serving as the Academic Fieldwork Coordinator in the Department of Occupational Therapy at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC) in Memphis, TN. In addition, she serves as a faculty sponsor for Rachel Kay Stevens Therapy Center, a student-run pro bono occupational therapy clinic at UTHSC. Jami has clinical experience with pediatric, adult, and geriatric clients in acute care, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), inpatient rehab, outpatient, and burn unit facilities. She has volunteered as an OT in the Dominican Republic and Haiti and is currently the fieldwork developer for the first-ever Bachelor's Degree-level OT and PT program in Haiti. In addition, she is pursuing a PhD in Health Science at Nova Southeastern University with an emphasis in global health. On this episode of On The Air, Jami talks about capacity building in developing countries and in underserved populations and shares about her passion for public health and community-based practice.
