I just came from my first session in the podcast recording studio and now have recorded the sound bite for the intro and outro of the podcast! Never before have I thought so intensely about intonation and inflection on individual words or how breathing and posture impact the sound of my voice. I got to see the inner-workings of the audio recording process - very impressive - and had a little coaching on how to make what I say flow better. I didn't expect to be as nervous as I was during the recording session - - or as excited as I am afterwards! The recording genius, Dwayne, who's helping and advising me along the way will add music to the clip, and then we'll be ready to move forward.
The recording session for Episode One is scheduled for next week, with the tentative release date set for Sept. 1. Stay tuned!
Hi! My name is Stephanie Lancaster, and I am the host of the On The air podcast. I have been practicing as an occupational therapist for over 25 years and am now on the faculty of a Master's degree level occupational therapy program. As a podcast enthusiast and a lifelong learner, I enjoy learning and connecting with others through podcasts and have wanted to start a podcast about OT for a couple of years. I'm so excited that it's finally coming to fruition and look forward to connecting with many others who are interested in and/or working in the field of OT.
