The Interview Process

Hello, and thank you for agreeing to be a guest on the show.

The interview process is pretty straightforward: Once we get the date and time on the calendar, I’ll send you a link to a short intake survey that asks for details like how listeners can get in touch with you and the bio you wish to have posted on the podcast website, and then at the scheduled time you’ll click on a link I’ll send you and we meet virtually for the interview.  Here’s a rough outline of how interviews usually go:

  • Introduction (I’ll read the  bio you provide)
  • What’s your “origin story”?  How did you find out about OT and what lead you to this field?
  • Memory from OT school
  • Advice if you could go back in time and talk to yourself as an OT student
  • Overview of your career path (How did you move into academia? How did you become involved in the work/research you’re doing now?)
  • How can someone who is interested in learning more about that aspect of the OT scope of practice find out more?
  • Anything else you’d like to discuss
  • A tip, quote, or resource you’d like to share with listeners

And that’s it!

Thanks again for connecting with me - I’m really looking forward to talking to you!
